Even though water is the most important
element for our health and survival
(we die only after 3-4 days without it),
dehydration is a commonly neglected occurrence
in our lives. Do you know if you're drinking
enough, and that the water you drink
is good for you?
In order to tell if you're hydrated, look at the signals your body gives you:
 |
How do you feel: Do you feel energized and healthy? Is your urine light-colored? Do you urinate 800 to 2000 ml/day? This is normal urine production and a sign of a well-hydrated body. |
 |
How do you feel: Do you feel
tired? Is your mouth dry?
Do your muscles feel weak? Do you suffer from headaches or dizziness?
Do you urinate less than every eight hours? These are symptoms of
mild dehydration.
|
 |
How do you feel: Irritation and confusion in adults, extreme sleepiness and fussiness in children, very dry mouth and skin, lack of sweating, very concentrated, dark yellow or amber urine, sunken eyes, rapid heart beat, fever and low blood pressure are signs of severe dehydration
|

Stress, alcohol, exercise, heat and caffeine all affect the amount of water you need and the speed your body loses it. Health and nutrition experts recommend that we drink 8-10 glasses of water each day based on normal activity. That does not include coffee, tea or soft drinks, it is believed that those items are more dehydrating than hydrating. Water is the best source of hydration!
Your body is water and depends on it for growth and survival.
Water is involved in almost every process
that's essential for life. We need water
to maintain a healthy balance in our
systems, it is essential for proper circulation,
digestion and assimilation. Water regulates
our body temperature, water hydrates
our skin and removes toxins and acidic
wastes from our body. It also acts as
a shock absorber for joints, muscles, and bones.
When the human body is dehydrated, it begins to pull water from its organs and tissues, even a slight imbalance can cause serious problems.
For instance, just a small reduction leads to a lower circulating blood volume.
As a result, your heart has to work harder to maintain an adequate blood flow to your vital organs, and your body becomes less able to control blood pressure, distribute nutrients and eliminate waste. |

The only water we recommend is Kangen water. Luckily you can produce this water in your own home for a fraction of the cost of long-term bottled water use.
